A responsive design tester with real devices, not guessed widths

Dragging a window narrower tells you where your breakpoints are. It doesn't tell you what visitors see. Simlord tests your responsive design on 133 real phones, tablets, foldables and screens, with the browser bars, touch and identity of each one.

Add to Chrome, it's freeWorks in Chrome, Edge and Brave. No account needed.

Simlord runs in Chrome on a computer. Open this page there to add it.

Test a responsive layout

  1. Open your site in Simlord

Click the icon on any page, from localhost to production.

  2. Walk through the devices

Go from the smallest phone to the largest tablet with the device strip, or press a shortcut for the next device.

  3. Save what you find

Take a screenshot with or without the device frame, or record the problem to share it.

Sizes from real devices

Every device in Simlord has the viewport, pixel ratio and user agent the real device reports, from the iPhone SE to the iPad Pro and the Galaxy Z Fold. Add your own sizes when you need a specific width.

What a resize can't show

Real phones have toolbars that take room, a status bar, a notch or Dynamic Island, and touch instead of a mouse. Simlord shows all of them, so you find the button that hides behind Safari's bar before your visitors do.

Every page, also behind a login

Online responsive testers load your site in their own frame, from their own server. Simlord works in your tab, so it sees localhost, staging and pages behind a login exactly as you do.

How is this different from an online responsive checker?

Online checkers load your site from their server in a frame. Simlord runs in your own browser, so it works on localhost and behind logins, and adds browser bars, touch and real user agents.

Can I add my own screen sizes?

Yes. Add a custom device with any width, height and pixel ratio. Free includes one, PRO has no limit.

Can I see several sizes at once?

Yes, with PRO. Compare up to four devices side by side, with scrolling and navigation kept in sync.

Is it free?

Yes. Simlord is free, and PRO adds the newest phones and tablets, comparing, full-page screenshots and longer recordings for one payment.

Try it on your own site.

Free, no account needed. Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
